چکیده
Historically, simulation of transient phenomena related to power systems has been carried on using the electromagnetic transients program (EMTP) [1] or one of its variants, such as the alternative transient program (ATP) or electromagnetic transients for dc (EMTDC), which are all based on the trapezoidal integration rule and the nodal approach. These software packages use fixed-step algorithms, which yield excellent results for power systems free of any power electronics devices. However, the fixed-step algorithms do not adapt well to the presence of discontinuities, which are caused by the switching devices. Spice is a general-purpose circuit simulation program, which was developed at the University of California, Berkeley [2]. The Spice circuit simulation program has become an industry standard. The major advantage of using Spice in power electronics is that, with the same software, a particular circuit can be designed and analysed at different system and subsystem levels, i.e., at the levels of the power switch, the converter circuit, and converter systems, including feedback control. However, for higher levels of simulation, simplified models for the switch and the converter must be implemented, in order to minimise convergence problems and reduce the run times. There are several commercial version of Spice that operates on personal computer under several popular operating systems. One commercial version of

Comparison of MRAS Based Rotor Resistance Estimator Using Reactive Power and Flux Based Techniques for Space Vector PWM Inverter Fed Induction Motor Drives
The performance of Vector Controlled Induction Motor drive depends on the accuracy of rotor resistance which will vary with temperature and frequency. The MRAS approach using reactive power and flux as a state variable for rotor resistance estimation makes MRAS computationally simpler and easy to design. In this paper, Rotor Flux based MRAS (RF-MRAS) and Reactive Power based MRAS (RP-MRAS) for ...
متن کاملPspice Simulation of Power Electronics Circuit And
This paper shows how power electronics circuits, electric motors and drives, can be simulated with modern simulation programs. The focus will be on PSpice, which is one of the most widely used general-purpose simulation programs. A simulation example is presented, and the results are compared with those obtained with Power System Simulation Tool based on Simulink.
متن کاملA Comparison Between Electrical Circuit and Finite Element Modeling Methods for Performance Analysis of a Three-Phase Induction Motor under Voltage Unbalance
Induction motor is the most popular load in the industry, it is very important to study about the effects of voltage quality on induction motor performance. One of the most important voltage quality problems in power system is voltage unbalance. This paper evaluates and compares two methods including finite element method (FEM) and equivalent electrical circuit simulation for investigation ...
متن کاملSensorless Model Predictive Force Control with a Novel Weight Coefficients for 3-Phase 4-Switch Inverter Fed Linear Induction Motor Drives
The sensorless model predictive force control (SMPFC) is a strong method for controlling the drives of three-phase 4(6)-switch inverter linear induction motors. This kind of inverter can be employed for fault tolerant control in order to solve the problem of open/short circuit in 6-switch inverters (B6). This paper proposed a method for the SMPFC of a linear induction motor (LIM) with a 4-switc...
متن کاملSpeed Observer Design for Linear Induction Motor Drives
In this paper, a neural network model reference adaptive system speed observer is designed, which can be used in speed control of linear induction motors (LIMs). Dynamical equations of LIM have been considered accurate. In other words, the end effect and the electrical losses of the motor have been included in the motor equivalent circuit. Then equations of the reference model and adaptive mode...
